Highways works are due to take place on the following roads in Central ward during May:
Ellenborough Park Road – crews will carry out repairs to the kerbs and drainage between Monday 16 and Friday 20 May, in preparation for resurfacing work which will start on Monday 23 May. The resurfacing is expected to take five days.
Walliscote Road and Quantock Road – drainage and kerb repair work will take place from Monday 23 to Friday 27 May, ready for resurfacing to start on Tuesday 31 May. The resurfacing is due to last four days.
Road closures will be in place at these locations while the resurfacing takes place, between 8am and 5pm each day.
Community safety drop-in.
The distinctive purple bus Mavis (multi-agency vehicle in service) will be hosting a drop-in session in Weston-super-Mare, at Big Lamp Corner, on Wednesday 11 May between noon and 6pm. Officers from the council’s community safety, community response, licensing and environmental protection teams will all be on board, as well as representatives from the police, Avon Fire and Rescue, and Victim Support.
Deaf Awareness Week
This runs from Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 May and during the week there will be a display of information and equipment in the foyer of the Town Hall. Representatives from different services will be on hand to chat and answer questions each day between 9.30am- 12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm.
