Useful information relating to Central Ward

 

Bus services: A number of bus timetable changes will come into effect during December and January, affecting some of the routes serving Weston-super-Mare Central ward:

  • Service 21 (Weston-super-Mare and Taunton via Burnham and Bridgwater) will be hourly during the winter months – this will start on Sunday 6 December.
  • Crosville 16 service (West Wick and Weston town centre, via Locking Castle, Aisecombe Way and Searle Crescent) will begin serving the Kent Avenue stretch of West Wick from Sunday 10 January.
  • Webberbus 75/76 service (Weston-super-Mare and Bridgwater, via Highbridge and Burnham) will operate an amended timetable from Monday 11 January, with small changes to the timings of the evening peak hour journeys between Weston Hospital and the town centre.

Road resurfacing: Works to resurface and replace kerb channels in Orchard Place will take place during the week beginning Monday 4 January. During that time a road closure will be in place from 8am to 5pm so that the work can be carried out safely.

Late night shopping continues in the run-up to Christmas when shops in the town centre will be opening later each Thursday on 3, 10 and 17 December.
